MJ | PAID ATTENTION
It’s interesting watching the return of MJ energy in such a massive way. A whole new generation is falling in love, while older fans are revisiting him through a completely different lens.
I’ve been drawn to hearing perspectives from people who were actually around him… former bodyguards, staff, insiders. It adds another layer to the image we thought we knew.
It also becomes clearer that his public persona wasn’t accidental. So much of it feels carefully curated, almost deliberately constructed. He clearly understood the power of image, mystery, and control over perception.
I think a lot of people are still left with questions about how he died. There are so many conflicting narratives, so many unanswered details. Claims about cameras being everywhere inside the house, yet no clear footage that resolves anything. Whether people lean toward conspiracy or not, there’s something about it that still feels unresolved and strange.
But what I can’t stop thinking about is attention itself.
The data already shows how much attention Michael Jackson continues to generate decades later. Old fans are re-engaged. New fans are discovering him for the first time. Interviews, clips, reactions, documentaries…it’s constant, and it spreads instantly through algorithms.
And that leads me to one question:
If MJ still captures that level of global attention… what are we not noticing while everyone is focused there?
